Dr. Wehman grew up in San Antonio, Texas and Vienna, Virginia. He completed his Bachelor of Science with Honors in Chemical Engineering at Cornell University with a minor in Bioengineering. He then attended the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston earning his Doctor of Medicine Degree with Honors.
He completed an internship in General Surgery and residency in Neurological Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Jackson Memorial Hospital. He completed a 2 year fellowship in neuroendovascular surgery at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
After completing residency he joined the faculty as a Assistant Professor at the University of Miami. In 2007 he moved to private practice in Orlando, Florida and was the first neurosurgeon in the area to provide both open cranial and endovascular treatments for complex vascular disease treating thousands of patients.
He has developed a comprehensive cranial and spinal neurosurgery practice. He is board certified by the American Association of Neurological Surgery. He is the former chairman of Neurosurgery for Orlando Regional Medical Center. He is consistently ranked as a top neurosurgeon by Orlando magazine, and various online physician ranking services for his technical skill and patient care.
